Electroplating Line / Anodizing Line

Electroplating - Anodizing Line

ELECTROPLATING LINE / ANODIZING LINE

Anodizing is an electrolytic passivation process used to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the surface of metal parts to achieve desired mechanical properties. There are several anodizing processes in the aviation industry, for instance:

  • Phosphoric Acid Anodizing – a Boeing process for structural adhesive bonding, to improve performance in environment with high humidity.

  • Chromic Acid Anodizing – first commercial anodizing process. Excellent corrosion resistance relative to coating thickness.

  • Hard Coat Anodizing – to produce hard coat oxide films with highest wear performance for engineering applications, particularly in the aviation industry

  • Sulfuric Acid Anodizing – most common aluminium anodizing process. Generally used for decorative applications

  • Boric Sulfuric Acid Anodizing – a replacement process for Chromic acid anodizing, from Boeing, for non-critical fatigue part

Electroplating is a process that uses electrical current to reduce dissolved metal cations so that they form a coherent metal coating on an electrode.

Electroplating is primarily used to change the surface properties of an object (e.g. abrasion and wear resistance, corrosion protection, lubricity, aesthetic qualities, etc.), but may also be used to build up thickness on undersized parts or to form objects by electroforming.

AUTOMATED ANODIZING LINE (BUILT TO LAST)

Our Anodizing Line / Electroplating Line offers:

Custom configuration, depending on type of application and component

Manual or Fully Automatic capability

Technical knowledge for surface treatment
Designed for your high quality output and optimal productivity

UNIWES provide turnkey anodizing / electroplating systems that are catered for even the most demanding surface treatment processes. We ensure customer satisfaction and design based on your requirements for this demanding surface treatment process.

Knowing that electroplating process creates high pollutant waste, UNIWES has developed special green solution to minimize the impact on the environment.
